About us

IN 1985 SCHAVERIJ HATTEM WAS SET UP AS A SAWMILL by Arnoud van Apeldoorn and André Faber. In those years we sourced our timber from Dutch and French forests before cutting and sawing it for construction.
In the early nineties the demand for expertly made wood floors increased, whereupon we moved to our 1,000m2, fully equipped, new plant where Arnoud concentrated on the production of various types of wood floors, while Andre moved to Amsterdam to focus on sales.

In 2015, younger son Rick, decided to join our team. Rick prefers our old wood, the older the better, according to him.
